How to Order BBQ & Other Fixings

Rule of Thumb –Never, Ever, heat BBQ in a skillet, a pan, or microwave; this will only further cook the BBQ and destroy its flavor. To warm BBQ, heat it in a double boiler until it reaches its desired temperature!

How much product do I need to order?

••For plates, 1 lb. of hand - pulled BBQ, a pint of cole slaw, and a dozen hushpuppies will feed 2 adults;

•For sandwiches, 1 lb. of hand - pulled BBQ, a pint of cole slaw, and 4 buns will feed 4 adults;

•A Boston butt will feed 8 – 10 adults;

•25 lbs. Of hand - pulled BBQ will provide for 50 adults; 50 lbs. of chopped BBQ will provide for 100 adults;

•A 100 lb. pig (A whole pig), after it is cooked, will yield approximately 50 lbs. of meat and will feed 100 adults; a whole pig cooked to order = $450.00

•½ pig (generally weighing about 50 lbs. before it is cooked) will yield approximately 25 lbs. of meat and will feed about 50 adults; a 1/2 pig cooked to order 'for pick-up' = $275.00

In addition to the meat, consider the following:

1 gallon of cole slaw for every 25 adults

1 gallon of potato salad for every 25 adults

1 gallon of baked beans for every 25 adults

1 gallon of green beans for every 25 adults

1 gallon of boiled potatoes for every 25 adults

12 & ½ dozen hushpuppies for every 25 adults (6 hushpuppies each)

1 gallon of iced tea or lemonade will provide 13 – 16 oz. cups of beverage in ice

Costs Associated for a Catered event/Tailgate Party:[1]

BBQ = $8.99 per lb. (Plan on ½ lb. per person) Example: 25 lbs. of BBQ will feed 50 persons;

Gallon of any vegetable = $28.00 (Will feed 25 persons)

½ BBQ chicken = $5.50 per person

¼ Rack of Ribs = $5.50 per person

Brunswick stew = $32.00 per gallon (1 gallon will feed 16 persons)

Hushpuppies = $1.95 per dozen (Plan on ½ doz. per person)

Banana Pudding = $32.00 per gallon

No Delivery Charge for event location within 10 miles of the Restaurant!
